Al-Ameen College was seeking a masterplan to guide the future development of its 3.2-hectare school site.
TRCB’s masterplan renews the campus; new 2-storey buildings replace ageing single-storey facilities to make room for more landscape and play spaces, and progressive upgrades to existing building stock improve the teaching and learning spaces for the school community.
As the first new building to emerge from the masterplan, the Learning Centre signals the renewed identity of the school. Inside, light-filled spaces for Art, Computing, Languages and Science are arranged across two levels, while outside, boldly coloured, perforated sunscreens announce the new centre and contribute to optimal internal conditions.
The new architectural style complements its surroundings while establishing a new benchmark for improved teaching and learning spaces for the college moving forward.
